Someone on Facebook captured the hippocampe ailé (winged seahorse) in the winglet of an Air France jet. That's what Porter was trying to get while we were flying from Paris to Florence. Instead, the emblem is completely missing, and all you see is a large, white dot.

But that's not the strangest part of this photo.  You beautiful Italian countryside, you see the winglet—but where's the wing?
