Having just received my third "are you okay???" message, I guess I'd better make a post.  We were under a tornato warning last night, with the storms expected to hit around midnight.  Somewhere around 5 a.m. I awoke to the sound of rain, and by about 6 it was pretty heavy, but it was coming straight down—no wind.  By 7 the rain had stopped and if it weren't for the news media I'd never have known that destruction was only a few miles away.  Thanks for caring, though!

I did have one small adventure as an aftermath of the storm. All the rain, coming after a dry spell, swept enough dirt into the pool that I decided to vacuum. The otherwise routine process of setting up the equipment was interrupted by the necessity of removing a drowned rodent from the skimmer.... At least it was not, as I had first believed, a rat, but rather a mole. From his bare, pointed nose to his little Clodsley Shovel feet, he was acutally quite cute—but he didn't belong on the inside of our screen, much less dead in the skimmer.
